Coaching is a creative process of partnership with the client aimed at inspiring him and maximizing his personal and professional potential.
ICF – International Coaching Federation
Coaching is like a journey in which the Coachee (the Client) relies on a Coach to identify “the best way” to reach the desired destination, based on his preferences.
It is a technique based on active listening to the Coach, the formulation of “powerful” questions, the search for internal and external resources and the definition of an action plan based on a series of options found.
The coaching path takes place in a context of mutual trust, devoid of judgment and open to new ideas. It leads to the discovery of oneself, of one’s talents. It therefore activates “awareness” on the one hand and “responsibility” for one’s decisions on the other. The Coach is not a consultant (who provides answers) and does not deal with psychological distress (the therapist’s territory). He is an expert in organizational processes and behaviors who can accompany you in developing personal characteristics and skills, releasing potential. Coaching focuses more on objectives, actions, performances, solutions, strategies, results, working on the present and on the future and drawing on the past positive resources that are functional to achieving the set objectives.
Why Coaching
Coaching today can represent the answer to the phase of uncertainty and change that are increasingly characterizing our time with consequent implications on values, lifestyles and organizational models. Both individuals and members of companies of any level and role can use the support of a Coach to improve their performances or to face situations where you need to find alternatives that are not easily identifiable.
